Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), under the solid leadership of David Warner, earned their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title on Sunday when they beat Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a thrilling finale at Bengaluru. Warner led from the front and scored 69 in his side’s 7 for 208 from the 20 overs. When SRH came out to defend, Warner again displayed his acute captaincy and helped his side win a cliff-hanger by 8 runs.

When the whole world was enjoying this captivating IPL final, it seems Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal was watching something else in a parallel universe, as he took to Twitter after the completion of match to ‘congratulate’ Warner for the ‘Pakistan Super League’ (PSL) win instead of IPL win. As a matter of fact, Warner never played in the inaugural edition of PSL that took place earlier this year.

This blunder cost Akmal dearly as he earned a lot of thrashing on Twitter. However, on realising his mistake, he promptly changed the tweet:
