Hilarious: After IPL 9 win, Umar Akmal congratulates David Warner for winning ‘PSL 2016’

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), under the solid leadership of David Warner, earned their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title on Sunday when they beat Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a thrilling finale at Bengaluru. Warner led from the front and scored 69 in his side’s 7 for 208 from the 20 overs. When SRH came out to defend, Warner again displayed his acute captaincy and helped his side win a cliff-hanger by 8 runs.

When the whole world was enjoying this captivating IPL final, it seems Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal was watching something else in a parallel universe, as he took to Twitter after the completion of match to ‘congratulate’ Warner for the ‘Pakistan Super League’ (PSL) win instead of IPL win. As a matter of fact, Warner never played in the inaugural edition of PSL that took place earlier this year.

This blunder cost Akmal dearly as he earned a lot of thrashing on Twitter. However, on realising his mistake, he promptly changed the tweet:

He even replied back to a troller, admitting his mistake and asking him to mind his language.

Here are the tweets that trolled Akmal for his blunder:
