The players from India and Pakistan played down the history and talks of 5-0, but eventually the past repeated itself and Misbah-ul-Haq’s side crumbled under pressure. India won the high-voltage Adelaide encounter by 76 runs to top the Pool B in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Pakistan skipper Misbah, who batted well with little support, lamented the loss of quick wickets in the middle overs and credited India for excelling in all the departments. He, however feels that score of 300 could be chased as the Adelaide wicket was very good to bat on.

“They posted a big total, and bowled really well. We lost our way with three wickets in the middle. The pitch was really good, and with the quality of their batting, 300 was a pretty good effort. If all the batsmen had batted well, it could have been achieved. Two-three batsmen never got in, and got out in the first couple of balls. You can’t say much about that,” said the 40-year-old.

Misbah, who scored 76, in Pakistan’s chase, said that his side needs to move on as every match in the World Cup is equally important.

“We have to just look forward. You can’t just think of this game. We have to focus on the next one,” Misbah added.
