It’s just few hours to go for the first match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and in a much-awaited clash India play their first match against Pakistan on Sunday.
As MS Dhoni’s men prepare themselves to beat Pakistan for the sixth time in the World Cup, Times of India reported that Neeraj Pandey, who is the director of Dhoni’s biopic has directed a music video titled Phir Se that is set to launch on the same day of the match.
The director, who is a cricket buff, spoke about the song, “Phir Se is an anthem, plea, prayer, dream all rolled in one. MM Kreem sahab (music director) and Manoj Muntashir (lyricist) have done this beautifully.”
When Chak De! India released in 2007, its title song went on to be the unofficial anthem of the Indian team, which went on to win the Twenty20 World Championship that year. With over a billion hearts praying for the team’s success, let’s hope Phir Se too weaves in the same magic as Chak De.
