The loss in the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 for India against Australia raised a lot of criticism. At the receiving end were star batsman Virat Kohli and his girlfriend Anushka Sharma. It was very unfair that Bollywood star had to receive the fans’ wrath, while for Kohli, he was expected to contribute in the big match as he is the best batsman of the side. Fans vented their anger on Anushka, who was present at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), as many felt that her presence was a bad omen for the side. After India’s exit, Kohli and Anushka arrived in Mumbai on Saturday, while Indian skipper MS Dhoni landed in New Delhi. The couple were spotted walking out together amidst a sea of media at the Mumbai International Airport according to a report from Press Trust of India (PTI).
Meanwhile, apart from the Indian vice-captain, Team Director Ravi Shastri along with five other players landed at the Mumbai International Airport. According to the sources, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel also arrived to Mumbai from Australia after India’s exit in the mega event on March 26. According to sources, by tonight the other members of the side are expected to be back in the country.
