MS Dhoni’s love for the country has been well documented and it was on show once again during the three-match Twenty20 International series decider against New Zealand which the hosts won by a narrow four runs to clinch the series 2-1 on Sunday. (India vs New Zealand, 3rd T20I: FULL SCORECARD)
During New Zealand innings, a fan breached security and ran onto the field at Seddon Park in Hamilton to meet his idol. As he bowed down to touch Dhoni’s feet, the former Captain Cool realising that he had an Indian flag which would touch the ground, snatched it from his hands before the fan could reach his feet. Dhoni however, and as usual, kept cool during the incident that became the talking point on Twitter. (CHECK OUT: Statistical Review: Blackcaps’ T20I dominance, Dhoni’s 300 and Rohit’s record)

When a fan tried to touch feet of Dhoni, he first took the flag from him so that it doesn't touch the floor.

Meanwhile, Dhoni became the first Indian cricketer to have played 300 T20s when he walked out for the final match at Hamilton. He turned up for the 96th time for India. However, he was unable to make it count with the bat as he could add just two off four deliveries to the Indian run chase before he was dismissed by Daryl Mitchell.
