After winning the One-Day International (ODI) series by 3-0 against Zimbabwe, Indian cricket team is all set to repeat the same in the Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) as well. Just like the ODI series, the team has handed few players their debut in the shortest format of the game.
In the first ODI, Indian captain MS Dhoni gave three players their ODI caps and now in the first T20I, he has fielded five fresh players and allowed them to make their first presence in the most entertaining format of the game. This will be the first instance since India’s first T20I match when five players making their debut in this format of the game. Rishi Dhawan, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mandeep Singh and Jaydev Unadkat are the players who are making their debut for Indian team in T20Is. Chahal and Rahul were very impressive with their performance earlier in the ODI series. At the same time, Mandeep has done pretty well on the domestic circuit, which earned him his India call-up. Rishi and Unadkat have played for India before in other formats and this is their first outing in Team India colours in T20Is.
