Krishna Satyanarayan of iTeamWorks (ITW) Sports was one of the two Indians arrested on the charges of raping a South African national in Zimbabwe from the same hotel where the Indian team was staying. Interestingly, just two days before the arrest, the same person was part of the post-match presentation ceremony after the third ODI between India and Zimbabwe. He was seen giving away the ‘Player of the Match’ cheque to Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. ALSO READ: India vs Zimbabwe: Identities of individuals accused of raping woman in Team India hotel revealed.

Satyanarayana, who works as a consultant for ITW Sports, was linked to the in-stadia rights-holder of the ongoing India-Zimbabwe series. He was described as co-founder of ITW Sports by an official press release of Zimbabwe Cricket. His accomplice in the act, Rajkumar Krishnan, was recognised as a Zambia-based businessman.

Zimbabwe Police’s ‘request for remand’ document confirmed that “Krishna Satyanarayana Gandlur and Ravi Krishnan were arrested on Friday from the Meikles Hotel on charges of rape.” This was confirmed by Charity Charamba, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP). Both will face trial for the heinous crime they committed.
