Injured Australian captain Michael Clarke is surely missing the second Test between Australia and India at Brisbane.
The bed-ridden Clarke, who has been ruled out of the remaining three Tests of the series, has undergone a surgery on his hamstring. On the first day of the second Test, Clarke has been providing running analysis of the Gabba Test via Twitter. In the process the 33 year old has ticked over a million followers
Last week, Clarke had played the opening Test to honour the memory of Phil Hughes and scored an emotional century in a thrilling match, that Australia managed to win by 48 runs. Clarke’s back-problem re-surfaced in the game and later on the fifth day he tore his hamstring.
He had courageously played in the opening Test to honour the memory of Phillip Hughes, and made a famous century in the match eventually won in thrilling circumstances by Australia with Clarke off the field after sustaining the hamstring tear.
Clarke expressed his disappointment on Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara’s dismissal off a poor decision, and also predicted Mitchell Marsh’s nature of injury
Clarke’s tweets:
Looks a good wicket at the GABBA. Big session this one for the boys.

I like seeing Lyon over the wicket. Enough spin but more importantly very good bounce

Commentators spot on. These dot balls are crucial. Builds pressure, fielders will get a chance

Vijay has left the ball really well in Adelaide and so far in this Test. Think we need to make him play a little more early in his innings.

He just does enough with the ball. Swing or seam.
