Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their 41st match of the Indian Premier League on Thursday. Both the teams had diverging results in their previous encounter. RR defended a target of 190 against Delhi Daredevils (DD), whereas SRH floundered in a run chase against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
RR have been dominant this season. The young talents they have backed have performed well. Ajinkya Rahane continues to impress with his performances and currently is the orange cap holder in the IPL. In their previous encounter their batsmen contributed and they performed as a unit. Bowling looks decent with the like of James Faulkner, Tim Southee and Chris Morris succeeding more often. They will look forward to contain SRH at their home venue. With fourteen points from eleven matches RR are well placed at second position.
For SRH, they floundered in a run chase against KKR. They’ve been banking heavily on their openers, as a result of which the middle order has failed to make a substantial contribution in the tournament. They have a formidable bowling attack with the likes of Dale Steyn, Trent Boult and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. They have to come out hard and contribute as a team in order to beat RR. With eight points from their nine outings SRH are placed at seventh position in the points table and they will be desperate to better that.
The track is once again likely to favour the batters more, so Sunrisers will look forward to David Warner to fire, while RR will want Rahane to carry on the golden run.
We are very much alive in this tournament! The boys aren’t letting this go so easily! COME ON!! #SRH #RRvsSRH #OrangeArmy
