Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) lock horns with the most consistent side in the tournament Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday. Both the teams had diverging results in their previous encounters. SRH successfully defended a target of 150 against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), whereas CSK endured a marginal defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), when KKR successfully chased down the set target of 165.
SRH had formidable bowling attack with the likes of Trent Boult, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Dale Steyn. Their bowling attack inspires confidence on the field. They have the ability to defend small totals and they did exactly the same against KXIP. SRH are heavily reliant on David Warner to get them the required runs and the domestic talent has failed to make a substantial contribution. They somehow managed to get 150 runs on board against KXIP, their bowlers bowled exceptionally to restrict KXIP. They made KXIP’s batsmen earn every run and didn’t give away any run. The key behind their success was they attacked and picked up wickets at regular basis. Warner led the team from front and set an example with the bat too, where he smashed 58 off 41 balls. SRH has won three matches from their seven outings and are currently placed at sixth position in the points table. They will have to pull up their socks and come out hard to beat CSK.
For CSK, they have the most balanced team in the tournament. They suffered a marginal lost in their previous encounter against KKR, where their batsmen failed to put up a good score on flat track. CSK are well placed at the top of the points table with six victories from their eight outings. They can manage to take things a bit easy. Brendon McCullum scored a century against SRH in their clash earlier this season.Pawan Negi has made an overall impact in his maiden match for CSK this season. They will look forward to step up and contain SRH at their home venue.
On the whole, Hyderabad is all set to witness a run fest when these two good sides colliding. We present you with the pick of the tweets.
