The 24th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 will be played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Mumbai. While KKR are currently at the top of the table in the seven week-long tournament, MI are at the fifth spot and will be playing their last home game of this season. The match will be a good chance for them to get back to the winning ways. IPL 2016, Match 5: Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets at Kolkata, Stars and Flops.
What goes in their favour is the head-to-head record between the two sides, as MI have won on 12 out of total 17 meetings, while KKR have just won five of those games. Even in this season of IPL, MI beat KKR at Kolkata few days back. Skipper Rohit Sharma had continued his love-affair with the Eden Gardens while Jos Buttler had risen to the occasion to earn that crucial win. But that was the only match KKR have lost this season so far, and this speaks a lot about their consistency.
The visitors have all their bases covered and boast of a settled unit. As compared to MI, they have a better looking squad with all their players oozing with confidence. MI will have to be at their best to get past KKR as the past record will hold little value in this match. The game 24 of IPL will start at 8.00 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) and will be telecast live on Sony Six, Set Max and can be watched by live streaming here.
