The 16th match of the ninth edition of Indian Premier League will be played between Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Maharasthra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on Friday. Both RPS and RCB lost their last two matches in the tournament and are currently looking forward to improve their standings in Points Table with a win.
RCB rely heavily on their skipper Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers’ performance, whereas, RPS looks very balanced side in both batting and bowling department. Bowling has been a matter of worry for RCB since last few season and they lack quality bowlers. RCB’s star opener Chris Gayle will miss this game too as he is currently in Jamaica for the birth of his baby daughter. KL Rahul will be taking his place once again as an opener.
Overall, RPS looks a more balanced side as compared to RCB and also the MS Dhoni-led side has two good spinners, in form of Ravichandran Ashwin and Murugan Ashwin. The match will start at 8 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) and will be telecast live on Sony Six, Set Max and the live streaming can be watched in Star Sports website.
