Match 25 of Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played between Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) and Gujarat Lions (GL) in Pune on Friday. Both the teams have had a contrasting start to their maiden IPL season as GL are at the top of the table while RPS are struggling at present being at the sixth spot. The script has unfolded almost perfectly for Suresh Raina’s GL so far. A new team built from the scratch has put no wrong foot so far, turning everything that they touch into gold. They just have had one poor game so far and have won all other games convincingly. All their players except Aaron Finch are fit and available for selection and stopping their juggernaut will be a huge task for RPS.
MS Dhoni’s men have struggled so far and have failed to find the right combination. Though renowned for not making changes, Dhoni has been forced to make plenty of those in his bid to find the right playing XI. Injuries to Kevin Pietersen and Faf du Plessis have only made things worse for him, but the champion that he is, he and his side can never be written off. RPS will take field on Friday just to prove the same thing.
