It was a funny moment for others except for commentator Ian Smith whose car was damaged due to a gigantic six hit by Otago Volts’ batsman Jesse Ryder. The burly left-handed slog-sweeped Wellington’s Luke Fletcher out of the park during the Georgie Pie Super Smash, New Zealand’s domestic T20 competition.

“That’s out of the ground, that’s gone, it’s downtown. It’s on my car! It is! I think it hit my car! Oh, the downside of getting a park so close! Oh, no,” Smith was quoted as saying on-air.

“For God’s sake, Jesse. Another report. It’s not the first one, I suppose. Usually it’s a scrape on the door … how am I going to explain that? At least I have evidence.”Co-commentator Mark Richardson jokingly said to Smith, Did you pay insurance?”. Smith replied saying, No, it’s a rental!”
