Many cricketers have been part of various social causes and to join them is South African cricketer JP Duminy who launched ‘JP21 Project’ on Friday.

The cricket initiative funded by the batsman aims to motivate and provide hope to children, using cricket as the vehicle. Duminy has been associated with humanitarian causes; he is the ambassador of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.

Expressing his desire to give back to the society he had once said, ‘I love playing cricket and am grateful that I can play sport as a profession. I have been blessed with great opportunities as a result of playing cricket and I really wanted to give something back. I hope that as a Trust Ambassador I will help make it possible for sick children to get better and get back to enjoying sport themselves.’
