It is not news that Kevin Pietersen is a huge social media enthusiast and a fun-loving guy who doesn’t shy away from stating his opinion or taking a dig at someone. James Faulkner is his latest victim. Not for the first time though! The Australian all-rounder and Pietersen’s Melbourne Melbourne Stars teammate in the Big Bash League (BBL), Faulkner has been the English batsman’s target for quite some time now.
Prankster Pietersen on Sunday shared the above picture of a llama on Instagram, suggesting it to be that of Faulkner’s by saying, “How is my buddy, @jfaulkner44 doing against India today?! #AusvInd”
Faulkner, who is currently playing for the Australian team against India in the tri-series, leaked 63 runs (63) for a solitary wicket in the second One-Day International (ODI).
Earlier, the English cricketer had posted a picture of a child with two huge protruding teeth as a pacifier by saying, “Ladies & gentleman: I present to you @jfaulkner44 as a baby! Like I said a few weeks ago, he is Australia’s Next Top Model!”
The good-natured joking between the cricketers shows that the animosity seen during the Ashes between England and Australia is only a seasonal and on-field phenomenon.
