Many cricketers travel with their wives and girlfriends on overseas tours. West Indian power-hitter Kieron Pollard too was accompanied by his wife Jenna when he toured South Africa with the West Indian team earlier this year.
Pollard and his wife were in South Africa as the massive hitter was a part of the West Indies Twenty20 (T20) squad. The couple seemed to have spent some quality time together off the field, exploring the wildlife of South Africa.
Recently, Jenna rekindled her golden memories from the South African safari when she shared a picture with Pollard and a lovely ‘cheetah’ (leopard) from her official instagram account. She wrote: “Throwback to one of my favourite places, where I got to meet this fierce but cute mr….lovely experience!!! #tbt#cheetahs #southafrica2014 #withmylove#blessedandthankful”
One can see the liveliness of the picture as the couple is courageously sitting next to a leopard for a picture. Many cricketers have a passion towards wildlife and are concerned about it. It is good to see these icons step up for the cause from time to time.
Pollard will soon be seen in action against Sri Lanka, where the West Indies team is currently touring. He hasn’t been named in the One-Day International (ODI) squad, but is a part of the T20 squad, a format where his team is most lethal.
