While a buoyant South Africa would look to continue their domination, as they’ve not lost an away Test series in last nine years, India would look to do well at home.

After an exciting One-Day International (ODI) series, India and South Africa will take their rivalry to a new level when they meet for the first Test in Mohali. While a buoyant South Africa would look to continue their domination, as they’ve not lost an away Test series in last nine years, India would look to do well at home.

South Africa have a few injury issues, as their big players JP Duminy and Morne Morkel have been ruled out from the Test. Young exciting talent Kagiso Rabada is all set to make his Test debut after impressing one and all in the ODIs. South Africa will also be tempted to play two spinners — Simon Harmer and Imran Tahir.

On the other hand, Indians will most likely field three spinners in Ravichandran Ashwin, Amit Mishra and Ravindra Jadeja. It will be a toss-up between Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara, as the Indian skipper Virat Kohli will in all probability stick to his five-bowler theory.
