After a one-day gap in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, the tournament resumes with the match between South Africa and Ireland in Canberra. The Pool B fixture is an important match for either side as both teams look to get their position firm in the points table. Ireland have had the perfect start, they would have hoped for; with two wins out of two games, they head into the game with confidence.

South Africa, on the other hand, have two wins from the three games played. Although termed as ‘minnows’, Ireland have shown clearly their potential of beating the Test playing nations; their win against West Indies was no fluke. South Africa got their mojo back with a crushing performance against West Indies and looks like the dangerous side which they have been called as before the start of the tournament.

Both teams looked settled and may play the same team which played in the last game. Ireland captain William Porterfield talked about ‘hating’ the term associates in the pre-match press conference while South Africa’s Farhaan Behardien said that they rate this Irish team highly.
