Sri Lanka will take on Afghanistan in the 16th match of the ICC World T20 2016 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday. Sri Lankan team is currently going through a bad phase as they are missing their big players Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene. The presence of Tillakaratne Dilshan is a big boost for the side but he has been not consistent with his form in last one year.
On the other hand, Afghanistan have shown some promise in their game and have improved a lot since they made their first international appearance in ICC World T20 2009. They have got a power hitting opener like Mohammad Shahzad and in the middle-order they have Mohammad Nabi and skipper Asghar Stanikzai.
For Sri Lanka, skipper Angelo Mathews and their spearhead pacer Lasith Malinga will be the man to watch out for, as they are currently in form player in the side. They have some match-winners in the form of Dinesh Chandimal and Dushmantha Chameera. They have a balanced batting side and have been equally backed by quality bowlers.
