One of the most awaited contests of the year is about to start. Pakistan, who are touring England after six long years are set to play the first Test of the series at the iconic Lord’s. The build-up to the series witnessed a lot of drama and now it is time for the leather and willow to do the talking.
The drama has majorly been around Mohammad Amir’s Test return. The young Pakistani seamer was a teenager when he last toured the country. He was involved in the ugly spot-fixing saga at the very ground where he played his last Test. Amir has been in fantastic form and post the war of words, England batsmen will look forward to get their defences tight. Meanwhile, England too have a sound side and are absolutely lethal in home conditions.
Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq is 42 and playing his first Test series in England. It can probably be his last and he will like to make it count. Meanwhile, Alastair Cook will rue the absence of James Anderson. The first Test at Lord’s begins at 1530 IST and will be streamed live on Star Sports.
