Every time India face Bangladesh in a World Cup match, one can’t help talking about the match between the sides in the 2007 edition, when India’s loss hurt them so much that they couldn’t recover from the jolt and went out of the mega-event in the first round. The sides face each other in the second quarter-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
While Bangladesh will definitely hope for a repeat of that performance, India, who have won all their matches in the tournament so far, enter the contest as clear favourites.
Out of all the quarter-finalists, Bangladesh is the side that India would have wanted to play in this round. MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat.
The match begins at 9:00 am IST and will be shown live at Starsports.com. Criclife presents you with the pick of the tweets.
