Pakistan and Ireland face each other in a crucial and final tie of the group stage at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday. The battle of the greens will be an interesting match to follow as it will decide who will advance to the quarter-final round — Pakistan, Ireland or West Indies in the Pool B of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
Pakistan haven’t been at their best lately with three wins out of five and a victory over Ireland would ensure them a spot in the last eight. On the other hand, if Ireland were to defeat Pakistan, then the latter will be eliminated from the tourney and West Indies will go through to the quarter-finals along with Ireland. (ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Points Table)
From Pool A, the co-hosts New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have qualified for the quarter-final stage, whereas from Pool B, India and South Africa are the only two teams to have advanced to the next round.
The match begins at 9:00 am IST and will be shown live at Starsports.com. Criclife presents you with the pick of the tweets.
