West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle has a special connection with India. He’s been an integral part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has formed some great friendships there; right from the team owner Vijay Mallya to the skipper Virat Kohli. The flamboyant cricketer has also played for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the past.
On occasions more than one, he’s confessed his love for the country and also shared how much he loves the IPL. The jovial cricketer’s camaraderie with Indian players isn’t restricted to RCB alone, but he also shares great bonding with players from the other team. He gave a good account of his friendship when he posted the following picture from his official instagram account:
In the above picture, Gayle can be seen sharing a pose with India’s limited overs captain MS Dhoni on the sidelines of a promotional event. Incidentally, the brand for which both came together is owned by Mallya, who calls Gayle his friend. Gayle has tagged the image as No.1 Yaari, which means No.1 friendship. Going by the picture, we may say so that the two friends had a great time catching up.
