Most matches as captain for MS Dhoni and 10 other other statistical highlights from 3rd T20I between Zimbabwe and India

The third and final Twenty20 International (T20I) match of series proved to be a thrilling encounter between Zimbabwe and India at Harare. Indian captain MS Dhoni wanted to bat first and similarly happened as Zimbabwean captain Graeme Cremer decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Zimbabwe bowlers did an excellent job with the ball by sending three Indian batsman at the score of 27 and from there on, India kept on struggling. Somehow, Kedar Jadhav stuck at the crease and but had a couple of lucky escapes during his stay. In the end, Axar Patel’s 11-ball 20 helped India post a decent total of 138. In return, Zimbabwe had a pretty shaky start as wickets kept falling regularly and in the end, it came to a situation where they needed 21 from last over. Barinder Sran somehow managed to pull the match from there even after being hit for six and two boundaries in the same over and India won the match by three runs. With this win, once again many records entered the record book and Abhishek Kumar presents the statistical highlights.

8.  Dhoni and Jasprit Bumrah have played 19 T20Is so far in 2016, which is the most by any players in a calendar year beating the previous best record of Saeed Ajmal and Umar Akmal, who played 18 T20Is in 2010.

9.  Second instance of Indian side winning a T20I bilateral series after losing the first match. Previous instance was against Sri Lanka on February 2016.
