The wait for all the hardcore MS Dhoni fans, who were eagerly awaiting the release of his biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, finally got over on Friday, September 30 when the movie opened at the box office. Such was the hysteria for the film that the fans had booked tickets well in advance as most of the first day shows were already full across the country. And living true to its hype, the movie saw tremendous footfall at multiplexes and single screens alike. The toil and hard work that the entire team put up in last couple of years during the filming of the biopic finally earned its due.
The movie mostly opened to fantastic reviews, with the cine-goers praising Sushant Singh Rajput for splendid portrayal of the Indian cricketer on screen. From Bollywood, actors Anupam Kher, who plays Dhoni’s father in the movie, also tweeted his praise for Sushant and the director Neeraj Pandey. Apart from him, trade analyst Taran Adarsh and actress Dia Mirza also tweeted nice things about the film. Budding actress Ankita Shorey also loved the biopic on Indian captain’s life and wrote: “One of the finest biopic so far! @itsSSR you stole the show! A very emotional and well told story!”
Apart from the Bollywood personalities, there were others too who heaped praises on the film. Here are some of those tweets:

There were few who did not like it much:
#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory is just too long. 2.5/5
— Sagar (@sagarcasm) September 30, 2016
Some graphic portions are disappointing as they appear out of sync; else the movie is worth it. #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory

There were some funny ones too:
Those who are saying #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory is not worth it coz its really long should watch Dhawan’s biopic which will end in 10 minutes.

Though its length was a bit on the higher side (3 hr 15 mins), the movie is mostly getting love and acclaim. And why not, Dhoni after all is one of the most loved cricketers India has ever produced. Though the start has been phenomenal, predicting the fate of movie at the box office will be a bit premature. All we can say is go out and enjoy the movie, and of course, this presentation too.
