There are very good players and there are some, who redefine the way the game is played. Virender Sehwag is certainly falls in the second category. Sehwag has been one of the greatest batsmen across formats and has inspired thousands of young cricketers around the world.

Sehwag’s exploits against Pakistan are well known but his approach has inspired youngsters beyond the borders as well. One of them happens to be Pakistan’s dashing 22-year-old opener Mukhtar Ahmed, who guided his side to a win against Zimbabwe on Friday. It was a historic moment for Pakistan as international cricket returned to the country after a gap of six years.

Mukhtar struck 83 from 45-balls as Pakistan chased down Zimbabwe’s set target 173 with three balls to spare. Mukhtar considers Sehwag as his role model and with his blistering knock tried to replicate the latter’s feat.
