Munaf Patel has not been seen in action for India since 2011, when he played against England in an ODI at Cardiff. Patel, a member of India’s World Cup winning campaign, has sparked frenzy over Instagram with a post that shows the fast-bowler holding a rifle along with others. His post read: “are you ready?”. Patel has played 13 Tests, 70 ODIs and 3 T20Is for India.
Apart from fans, Patel was trolled by India teammate Ishant Sharma. Sharma is currently away playing county cricket in England for Sussex.
Patel was last seen playing in Indian Premier League (IPL) for the now defunct franchise, Gujarat Lions in 2017.
