Neil Wagner opens up on his wildest dreams

New Zealand’s left-arm pacer Neil Wagner enjoyed a fruitful run in the New Zealand in Zimbabwe Test series and won the man of the series award. He bowled with unmatched confidence and helped his side whitewashing the host in a two-match series. He scalped 11 wickets in two Tests and claimed the man of the series award. During post-match presentation, Wagner was delighted and spoke about the importance of the award. He said, “Never in my wildest dreams, I expected to get something like this.”

Zimbabwe were chasing a target of 387 runs in the second inning when they were bowled out for 132 as the visitors won the game by 254 runs. Wagner had just three wickets ninths outing but wrecked havoc in the first Test by picking eight wickets. Wagner is one of the most promising players in the international circuit. The wily pacer has chipped 85 wickets in 21 Tests at a staggering average of 30.43. He has enhanced as a bowler and will be player to watch out for in the time to come.
