Nepal Under-19 Cricket team creates history by qualifying for Quarter-Final stage

In the ongoing ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016, Nepal Under-19 team made history by entering into the quarter-finals stage with one match to go. They won both their matches against New Zealand and Ireland respectively.

This is truly an extra-ordinary performance by Nepal Under-19 team. They beat Ireland quite convincingly by eight wickets with almost 25 overs remaining. Earlier, they also defeated New Zealand in their first Group D stage match . This is also not the first time they have beaten Zew Zealand, back in 2006 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup they had outclassed them by single wicket

Sandeep Lamichhane of Nepal took five wickets in the match, which includes a hat-trick as well. This was the fourth hattrick in Under-19 Cricket World Cup and first from by a Nepal player. In batting, Yogendra Singh Karki played a calm and controlled unbeaten knock of 61 runs from 81 balls and sealed the victory for Nepal.
