Innovation is the name of the game and in the ongoing Twenty20 qualifier tournament Nepalese cricketer Siddhant Lohani played one of the most unique strokes seen in the cricket field. It was a version of Indian star cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni-popularised helicopter shot and it did go for the desired result but Lohani had his own touch to it.

The bat was wielded like how a batsman plays the helicopter shot, but instead of taking the route to long-on; the ball sailed away over the covers for a maximum. It was as if a ball was thrown at the moving blades of a fan.

Lohani’s entertaining 27 from 16 helped Nepal get to a score of 105 against Jersey at Dublin. However that wasn’t enough as Jersey cruised to a seven-wicket win with 23-balls to spare. Nepal with a solitary win from six games are lying at the bottom of Group A.
