Brendon McCullum is playing his final Test series against Australia at home with the first match being played at Wellington; this game also marks his 100th Test appearance. To add to his good fortunes, he scripted history with this game as he now holds the record for 100 consecutive Test appearances since debut.
He surpassed the likes of AB de Villiers, Adam Gilchrist, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid and now is he is the only cricketer to have such a fantastic record to his name. To honour this achievement of his, New Zealand BlackCaps official Instagram account came up with an amazing mosaic which features McCullum and contains hundreds of pictures while him on the cricket field.
It’s a magnificent way to pay tribute to such a legend who has been consistent and dedicated towards the game of cricket. McCullum gave a testament to his consistency and has been diligent when it comes to cricket.
McCullum is widely reckoned for his hard-hitting abilities and ability to take on any bowling attack with utter ease. He has been aggressive when it comes to captaincy, and backed his instincts immensely. He inspires confidence on the field and has been a livewire when it comes to fielding.
Although he didn’t have a great start to his iconic appearance as he was dismissed for a duck but one can’t expect him to make a strong comeback. New Zealand were bowled out for a mere total of 183 in their first innings and Australia ended their day at 140 for three at stumps on Day 1.
