On his maiden India tour, Mandeep Singh relishing in the fringe benefits

It takes lot of hard-work, patience, perseverance and years of toil for any sportsperson to reach to the highest level. And when it does happen, the players’ joys know no bounds. Young Indian cricketer Mandeep Singh, who has been picked for his maiden tour with Team India for the Zimbabwe trip, is one such example.

Starting his journey with the India Under-19 team, which he represented at the U-19 World Cup in 2010, Mandeep came off age during the 2012 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, where playing for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) he was named the rising star of the tournament. Since then, he has done consistently well for Punjab and his current IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

His maiden Indian call-up, thus, is a well deserved one. Enjoying the feat, the young cricketer recently posted an image from his official Instagram account while on the plane to Harare. Enjoying the benefits of being a Team India player, Mandeep showed through his image how he is relishing his time. Take a look:
