India’s loss became Pakistan’s gain as the latter got crowned with the title of World’s No.1 team in Tests after the fourth Test between India and West Indies at Port of Spain ended in a draw due to rain. India had to win the fourth Test to stay at the top in ICC rankings but since that did not happen, Pakistan were declared as the new No.1 team in Tests. Thus the game of musical chairs stopped for a while with Pakistan, India and Australia all being at the top in a span of week. While Indian captain Virat Kohli mentioned in the post-match ceremony for the fourth Test that his team is not concerned about the ranking and aims to be the best in the world, the Pakistani fans worldwide celebrated team’s achievement on social media.
Words ‘Pakistan’ and ‘ICC Test’ trended all day long with fans from both sides of the border tweeting to express their joy and anger on this development. Here are a few top tweets that broke the internet:
Congratulations to PAK team for getting to NO 1. Hard work pays off. Well done.

India remained No.1 Test team for just 5 days – shortest period for any team. In the past, all teams remained No. 1 at least for a month.

Pakistan are deserving No.1 test team. Unbeatable in the UAE, and competitive elsewhere. Wish India would play them in UAE to decide spots. — Taz (@xtahzy) August 22, 2016
