The inaugural match of the five One-Day International (ODI) match series between India and South Africa gets underway at Green Park, Kanpur. Team India may have lost the Twenty20 series without registering a single win but they have a much better record in the limited over cricket, especially when they play at their home grounds. Surely it will be an electrifying contest between both the master team ODI cricket and not to forget about the crowd as they will be witnessing an international match after long period of one year and 10 months. Close river Ganges, Green Park stadium has the capacity of accommodating more than 39,000 spectators at a time.
Both India and South Africa will play with the combination of fully fledged star players and few new comers as well who are currently trying to cement their place in the team. We can expect a competing in all three departments – batting, bowling and fielding when two giant of ODI cricket will clash.
