The first match of the four-Test match series between India and South Africa got underway at the PCA Stadium, Mohali on Thursday. Team India lost the Twenty20 and One-Day International (ODI) series and the Virat Kohli-led Test side will look forward to salvage some pride. It’s often that India get dominated on home soil.
The pitch of Mohali has been a dustbowl so far and winning a good toss, India decided to bat first and their innings lasted just 201 runs. Dean Elgar with four wickets was the star for them. However, led by Ravichandran Ashwin’s fifer India managed a 17-run lead. Thanks to a 63 from AB de Villiers, South Africa got so close.
The match is nicely poised on Day Three with Indian spinners finding it hard against the South African spin bowlers. We present you with the best tweets from the Test.
India beat World number one in 3 days and South Africa should accept the reality instead of blaming the pitch.. #INDvSA

Why is Dhawan at first slip? Why is Umesh bowling? Being random hasn’t hurt India in this Test but #INDvSA — Gaurav Sethi (@BoredCricket) November 7, 2015

SA can blame the pitch as much as they like but not one of the five wickets to fall in this innings has done so to a huge turner. #IndvSA — Ramiz Raja (@SirRamizRaja) November 7, 2015
This Varun Aaron is slipping in a really quick spell here. Great to watch but where is Jadeja? — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) November 7, 2015
