For India opening batsman, Rohit Sharma, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be his first 50-over World Cup tournament after he  missed out on the 2011 edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup. He has represented India in the World Twenty20 (T20) and ICC Champions Trophy tournament.

On Saturday sounded motivated and confident ahead of a warm-up clash against the hosts Australia and for the quadrennial event starting Feb 14. According to him, wearing an Indian jersey is enough motivation. “I missed out on the last World Cup in India and I am keen to make this one count and make it big without putting much pressure on myself”, he was quoted in a report on CricketCountry.

Rohit insisted the Indians will try to be unfazed by the magnitude of an India-Pakistan encounter when they meet in their opening game on February 15, and will look to just execute the ‘process’ of churning out a result in their favour.

“It will be a big game against Pakistan. But we need to concentrate more on the process rather than taking it as an India-Pakistan game. The result will take care of itself if we concentrate on the process and we know what we need to do to be at our best,” the right-handed batsman concluded.
