Sachin Tendulkar bats for charity on Independence Day

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar made the 69th Indian Independence Day very special for some children of Make-A-Wish India by paying them a visit.

Cricketers enjoy a massive fan following and can draw an enormous attention towards a social cause. Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar made the 69th Indian Independence Day special for some children of Make-A-Wish India by paying them a visit. He even picked the bat batted for them in an attempt to raise funds for the organization. Tendulkar had a great evening with the kids and instantaneously took it to the Twitter handle to express his elation.

He tweeted:

The whole cricket fraternity conveyed their best wishes on pleasant occasion of Independence Day through twitter and in one of Tendulkar’s tweet he also wished all Indians and wrote:

Make-A-Wish India is a charitable organization which focuses on assisting ill children with quality medical attention. Earlier, Tendulkar also appealed to the masses to plant a sapling each on World Environment Day. It seems that after a terrific cricketing career, Tendulkar is now devoting his time towards the betterment of society.
