Domestic powerhouse Mumbai beat Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy final on Friday to bag their 41st Ranji title. To mark this special as well as emotional moment, former and current Mumbai cricketers took to micro-blogging site Twitter to wish their team. At the same time, BCCI’s official account also shared a video featuring Mumbai lad Ajinkya Rahane, who is seen congratulating his team-mates.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was the first to share his wishes in the form of tweet. Incidentally, Tendulkar had a special session with the Mumbai team just before they left for Pune to take on Saurashtra. The pep talk by Tendulkar did wonders as the boys made their team and beloved city proud. Tendulkar wrote:
Ranji champions for the 41st time, yeeaaahh!!! Well done Mumbai!!! Really proud of you. #RanjiTrophy

Soon, current Mumbai and India players Rohit Sharma, Rahane and former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan also took to Twitter to share their happiness and wish the young team led by Aditya Tare. Rohit and Rahane get little or no time to play for Mumbai since they are mostly on India duties. But this did not stop them from wishing their colleagues, as they took time from their Asia Cup schedule to wish the Mumbai Ranji team.
Top performance by Mumbai Ranji team throughout the season. Very well deserved and rightly so holding it for the 41st time #KhadoosArmy
