Sachin Tendulkar’s autobiography ‘Playing It My Way’ has broken several sales records since its release in November last year and now it’s all set to be released in Hindi. The Hindi version will release next month and will be called ‘Meri Atmakatha’.
This edition will be released by Manjul Publishing House at the ongoing World Book Fair in Delhi on Friday and will hit the book stores from March 1. The same publishing house will also come out with the Tamil translation of the book which will be launched on March 20.
The Hindi translation is done by Dr Sudhir Dixit, who has also translated the Harry Potter series of books in Hindi, amongst several other very popular translations.
As reported by NDTV sports, Vikas Raheja, Managing Director of Manjul Publishing House, said, “This engrossing Hindi translation is a collector’s item and one that every cricket-worshipping fan must read.”
The original English edition, which was co-authored by journalist Boria Majumdar, was published by Hachette India.
Tendulkar, considered as ‘Cricket God’ by millions, reflected upon his own life, speaking about his carefree childhood, humble upbringing and his rise to stardom. The book contains several photographs and he openly recounts his injuries and the controversies which include the monkeygate, Rahul Dravid declaring the innings at Multan with Tendulkar on 194, and others.
