“Selectors should keep an eye on Kuldeep Yadav”, says Sunil Gavaskar

Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav has been quite impressive with his bowling this season of Indian Premier League. He has been with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) since 2014, and after an impressive Champions League Twenty20 that year, which earned him an India call-up, he got to show his skills in IPL 2016. Along with him, there is another famous chinaman bowler in the KKR’s camp — Brad Hogg. The Australian spinner is also impressed with Yadav and has rated him highly.

After Hogg, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has also come in support of Yadav and praised his bowling and gave an “honest advice” to the Indian selectors in order to keep a tab on the young spinner. As reported by PTI, Gavaskar said, “He has been quite impressive and my honest advice to the Indian selectors will be to keep an eye on this young man. And the fact that he is a different kind of a bowler, you have got to be a little patient with him, but he is the kind of a bowler who can win you matches in the future. We should keep an eye on him.”

Kuldeep is currently playing his third IPL game and has already turned the game in KKR’s favour scalping the wickets of David Warner, Moises Henriques and Ben Cutting. The 21-year-old  finished with 3 for 35 from his four overs. Only Yuvraj Singh could not be tamed by the youngster and the former was severe on him.
