If you have not seen it, just check this out. The selfie graph is headed just one way that is up and if you link it with a social cause, then nothing like it. Well, that is exactly what generous Stuart Broad has been up to. Let’s take it from the top. The English seamer is now trying to help people who are plagued with a certain disease called, motor neuron disease (MND). The ‘Broad Appeal Foundation’ has been piloting the cause, which is helping the needy and the afflicted.

So in the endeavour Broad  has incepted the ‘moustache selfie’ way, where he is asking people to send in more and more pictures supporting the cause, the clear idea is to generate funds.

MND is any of five neurological disorders that selectively affect motor neurons, the cells that control voluntary muscle activity which include speaking, walking, swallowing, and general movement of the body.

It is heart-warming to see cricketers using their celebrity status ‘wisely’, for a cause. Across the Atlantic, in the West, the term MND is often used interchangeably with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

The website http://thebroadappeal.org/ neatly states that, “Our aim is to be in a world free from MND. Join our new campaign and help make our voice heard. Please download and join the fun.”

We wish luck to Broad and the entire team for their future endeavours and also expect other cricketers and folks join the bandwagon.

Broad later posted another image of Alastair Cook with his #broadappealselfie supporting MND.

Ben Stokes and Johny Bairstow also tweeted a picture in support of this social cause:
