Australian spin legend Shane Warne is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time but he has a knack of inviting controversies. The 46-year-old has been making some notorious comments in the reality show I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here, which have been grabbing headlines but this time it is his daughter Brooke who was criticised in the social space. Brooke Warne is the eldest among Warne and ex-wife Simone’s three children and she posted a photograph mocking the holocaust, the Malaysian Airlines disasters and the controversial death of Cecil the Lion who made news when shot dead by American dentist Walter Palmer.
On her Instagram handle, the 18-year-old shared the above picture (she is far left) with the caption: “Politically incorrect – yes #cecil #malaysianairline #holocaust.”
The teenager was severely criticised on social media and later deleted the post. One of the comments read, “Only privileged white kids have the ability to distance themselves and mock tragic events that don’t affect them” and “Rich kid arrogance at its worse” filled the social media.
One of Brooke’s friends in the image wore striped pyjamas, a reference to the millions of people killed in the holocaust. Another user commented, “If you’ve ever visited the Holocaust museum in Washington DC you wouldn’t be prancing around in a pair of striped pyjamas.” READ MORE: Shane Warne’s nine sensational sexcapades
In a report from news.com.au, one of Brooke’s friends tagged in the picture hit back at critics, writing: “Don’t hate the playa hate the game baby.”
