Little did the world know that when Mahendra Singh Dhoni walked out of Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) after helping India secure a draw against Australia, it would be the last time he would be doing so in Test cricket.
Dhoni’s decision to retire from Test cricket shocked the cricket fraternity and the Twitter space was flooded with tributes pouring from all over the world.
Dhoni, who made his debut in December 2005, played 90 Tests, leading 60 of them. Sachin Tendulkar, who retired from cricket a year back, congratulated Dhoni on his marvellous career. The entire cricket world paid rich tributes to the Indian skipper, who undoubtedly is among the modern greats of the game.
