Chinaman bowlers are a rare breed and if you thought Paul Adams was one of his kinds, here arrived — Shivil Kaushik. Just over 20 years back, when an 18-year-old Paul Adams played his first international game for South Africa. He caught the cricketing world by surprise with his unusual bowling action. Englishman Mike Gatting linked his action to “frog in a blender”. Adams appeared in 69 international games for South Africa, picking up 163 wickets. Kaushik was not even six months old when Adams made his debut for South Africa but the youngster has turned many heads (Including his, quite literally!) in the recent times with his bowling action.
A product from the Karnataka Premier League (KPL), Kaushik became a trending topic when appearing for Gujarat Lions (GL), in his first ever T20 game, he bowled with the unusual ‘Paul Adams’ like action.

Adams took to Twitter to express his delight.
Remind you of someone! Wow #Kaushik ! Great to see the art of #Chinaman bowling alive #IPL2016 #RPSvGL pic.twitter.com/6CCBLAvqeJ

In the first game, he got Steve Smith out off a no-ball and later took some pounding. However, he came back well in his second match, claiming figures of 4-0-20-3. He got the important Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) wickets of Murali Vijay, Shaun Marsh, and Glenn Maxwell. Surely, Adams will be a proud man.
