The rivalry between India and Pakistan is one of the most intense stories in the history of cricket. Fans enjoy the fierce battles between these two giants and many a times it attracts numerous controversies. Indian opener Gautam Gambhir and Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi have enjoyed sufficient amount of battle and are two of the fiercest competitors in cricket. They hogged all the headlines in a One-Day International (ODI) encounter after getting involved in an ugly altercation, which was full of abusive language and hatred. This was also one of the most heated and hideous sledging, cricket has ever noticed. Since then, the battle has continued and took many twists and turns.
Afridi once opened up on his views in a chat session with fans and followers on Twitter. When asked about the player he hates the most, without much of a surprise he named Gautam Gambhir. He tweeted:
gautam gambhir @ButtBazooka

When another user asked if he still is not being friends with Gambhir, ‘Lala’ replied he shall never be friends with the Indian opener.
@tarun_0707 I will never

One can expect a Twitter war to explode as this tweet has resurfaced recently. Sledging has become a vital part in cricket and surely doesn’t serve the purpose of the game. Many times, players are seen trying to instigate their opponent and get the better of them with words or actions.
Gambhir has been in good form for India Blue in the Duleep Trophy and led his side successfully to the title. He is certainly making his case strong to stage an international comeback. Afridi on the other hand, has been laying T20 cricket across the globe and seems to be doing a decent job.
Will Gambhir respond to this gesture by Afridi, now that the tweet is floating around again? Well, only time will unveil the mystery.
