Tino Best hits out at Eoin Morgan and other critics of West Indies ‘Mankading’ incident

Tino Best lashed out on international cricketers and fans who felt the act was disgraceful.

Exactly 25 years and one day after the infamous Greg Chappell underarm bowling incident, cricket saw another controversy on the similar lines. In the ongoing Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, Zimbabwe with one wicket in hand needed just three runs to beat West Indies. Pace bowler Keemo Paul ‘Mankaded’ Zimbabwe’s last man in the final over. Paul running in to bowl, stopped before the delivery stride and dislodged the bails.

Contrary to most views, West Indian pacer Tino Best, who recently retired from international cricket to play MCL, supported the Under-19 side’s decision. On Twitter, he lashed out on international cricketers and fans who felt the act was disgraceful. Here’s what the defence he came up with:
