Dodemaide was a utility cricketer who was primarily a right-arm medium pace bowler but was effective with the bat too. 2. Impactful Test debut: Dodemaide marked his presence in world cricket with a terrific performance in his debut Test against New Zealand at Melbourne in December 1987. He claimed seven wickets in the Test and a resilient 50 with the bat lower down the order.
3. Dream ODI debut: Dodemaide had an uncanny knack of making it big on his debut game. After a successful Test debut he stunned the cricket cognoscenti with a powerful performance in his One-Day International (ODI) debut against Sri Lanka at Perth in January 1988.
