England created history after beating Pakistan by 169 runs in the third ODI at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Tuesday. The most improved ODI side since the World Cup 2015, England first posted a mammoth 3 for 444 on the board, which is now the highest total in an ODI, and then crushed the visitors by bundling them out for 275. With this win, the Eoin Morgan-led side secured the ODI series after taking an unassailable 3-0 lead. Batting first, English batsmen led by Alex Hales butchered the Pakistan attack. Hales scored 171, which is now highest ODI score by an England batsman, while others like Joe Root, Jos Buttler and skipper Morgan played around him and helped side post a record total.
In reply, Pakistan were never in the contest. Only two batsmen, their opener and No.11, went past fifty for them, which sums up their performance. This record-breaking contest was the talk of the town with Twitterati reacting to it from across the world. Here we bring to you some of those tweets.
