After a commendable resistance from the South African batsmen which denied India of an early win, the hosts have finally turned things around as they have won the ultimate encounter of the four-match series by a mammoth margin of 337 runs. With this win, India have won the series 3-0 with the Bengaluru Test resulting in a draw due to incessant rains.
South African skipper Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers looked confident and set to save the day for their side but Indian spinners had other ideas in mind. Ravichandran Ashwin once again stood up as he claimed another fifer and carried his team over the line. Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav too were noteworthy with their performance.
India did not manage to win the One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) series and this win will bolster their confidence as a team. Kohli has attained another feat as a captain as this is his second series win as the Test skipper. Fans and followers have taken to the social media to express their views about the thumping Indian victory over Proteas.

Heart goes out to South Africa though. Such magnificent defiance for a major part. They have been really popular visitors. — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) December 7, 2015

The bowlers can take a bow. @imVkohli has always said the bowlers win matches and they have delivered. — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) December 7, 2015
The 337 run victory is India’s biggest in terms of runs in Tests #IndvSA

India can be mighty proud of what they have achieved here. 3-0 against the best test team and the best travellers is special. — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) December 7, 2015
India needed this win. Because this win on a regular Indian pitch established that were decidedly the better team through the series.
